Finalists from the Class of 2013 (Youth Leaders of the Year will be in bold):

This year, 10 Finalists from the Class of 2013 were selected to undergo the Personal Interview process. Each Finalist was chosen based on the overall merits of his or her Biographical Sketch and Leadership Essay.
Of the 10 Finalists, only 2 students were selected to bear the title of Lincoln Trail Youth Leader of the Year and represent our district at the National Council on Youth Leadership's Town Meeting on Tomorrow in St. Louis (October 20-23, 2012).

Lincoln Trail Youth Leaders Attend Town Meeting on Tomorrow
Four Youth Leaders recently attended the Town Meeting on Tomorrow in St. Louis. Molly Frank, Green County High School, Aaron Vance, North Hardin High School, Leah Rose Judd, Green County High School and Chandler Young, Nelson County High School attended the conference, sponsored by the National Council on Youth Leadership and Washington University. Molly Frank and Aaron Vance represented this area as the Lincoln Trail Youth Leaders of the Year. Leah Judd and Chandler Young attended as alternates and were finalists in the Lincoln Trail area. At the conference seventy of the nation’s most distinguished youth leaders met to share ideas in hopes of creating a better tomorrow. Molly Frank was chosen as the top female 2012 National Council Youth Leader of the Year and received a monetary scholarship. Molly was selected based on her application, essay, interview and overall leadership qualities exhibited at conference. Aaron Vance was awarded the James McLeod Youth Leadership Award. This honor was given to seven of the most insightful leaders from across the nation and chosen by their peers at the Town Meeting on Tomorrow.
The Lincoln Trail Youth Leadership Council announces that Elizabethtown Community and Technical College is sponsoring the Recognition Reception for all Youth Salute students and their families and friends on Thursday, November 15 at 7pm in Room 212 RPC at the College. Finalists will be recognized and the two Leaders Molly Frank and Aaron Vance will speak about their experience at the Town Meeting. The keynote speakers are Instructors Doug Fulkerson and Jason Redmon. Doug Fulkerson, an Instructor of History is a native Upton. He received his B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of Kentucky. Besides spending time with his wife and daughter, Fulkerson enjoys baseball, traditional archery, woodworking and photography. Jason Redmon, Instructor of English received his B.A. in English from Eureka College and his M.A. from Northern Michigan University in Marquette Michigan. He enjoys spending time with his fiancé, a cowardly dog and an overactive kitten.
